Al Ghais expressed his gratitude to His Royal Highness Prince Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa, the Crown Prince and Prime Minister for his visit to the Ministry of Information and inauguration of the main studio at the News Centre and the private radio stations building, coinciding with the 50th anniversary of the beginning of television broadcasting.

He praised HRH’s support for the national media, given the fact that it is as an active partner in backing the government’s development efforts.

According to the director, the new studios are designed to provide an integrated broadcasting system, including high-quality broadcasting studios, high-tech equipment and services as well as administrative offices.

The new building is over 1000 square metres and is equipped with the latest electric power systems that provide sustainable power supply. It has six radio studios and a control room that is linked to the main control room of the ministry. The building also includes 18 offices and a conference room.

The director highlighted the ministry’s cooperation with leading companies specialised in radio broadcasting to provide the latest equipment and technologies, noting that the new radio building project reflects the development of the media sector in Bahrain, which promotes the principles of cooperation between the public and private sectors within an advanced technical and legal framework.

In addition to the economic and financial beneficial aspects, the project is important in highlighting Bahrain’s development and achievements, he said, noting that it contributes to the social and media aspects.
