Northern Borders Region: Mild Weather and Flourishing Parks Enhance Quality of Life

Northern borders region: The Northern Borders Region is experiencing mild weather and lower temperatures. The change in climate has led to flourishing green spaces across cities and governorates. It has also encouraged residents and visitors to frequent public parks and open recreational areas as destinations for leisure and relaxation.

According to Saudi Press Agency, green spaces are spread across Arar, Rafha, Turaif, and Al-Uwayqilah. Northern Borders Region Municipality has developed integrated recreational facilities in these cities. These include pedestrian walkways, children's play areas, family seating zones, a modern lighting system, and public services to meet visitor needs.

Arar alone has 19 public parks and green spaces covering about 2,494,356 square meters.

The municipality's plan focuses on enhancing environmental infrastructure and expanding green areas in line with Saudi Vision 2030. The goal is to improve quality of life and provide a sustainable and healthy urban environment for the community. The plan also aims to make the region's cities attractive destinations for domestic tourism and for enjoying their mild natural climate.
