President of the State of Palestine Mahmoud Abbas strongly condemned the assassination of Hamas leader Ismail Haniyeh, considering it a cowardly act and a dangerous development.
In a brief statement, Abbas called on the Palestinian people and their forces to unite, be patient and steadfast in the face of the Israeli occupation.
