Riyadh: President of the Republic of Uzbekistan Shavkat Mirziyoyev received Minister of Health Fahad AlJalajel in Tashkent during his official visit to Uzbekistan.

According to Saudi Press Agency, AlJalajel conveyed the greetings of Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques King Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud and His Royal Highness Prince Mohammed bin Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud, Crown Prince and Prime Minister. The Saudi leaders expressed their wishes for the president's continued health and happiness, as well as for the further progress and prosperity of Uzbekistan and its people.

The meeting between the two leaders focused on discussing bilateral relations and ways to enhance cooperation, particularly in the fields of health and investment. Key areas of discussion included digital transformation, healthcare development, pharmaceutical regulation, healthcare workforce training, and the establishment of a multi-specialty hospital in Uzbekistan.

Additionally, the meeting underscored the importance of the health sector memorandum of understanding signed during the Uzbek president's visit to the Kingdom in August 2022. The leaders reviewed related joint initiatives and new agreements signed during the current visit to further strengthen cooperation between the two countries.
