Jeddah: The press conference for the PFL MENA Championship, scheduled to take place tomorrow at Onyx Arena in Jeddah, was held today, featuring international, local, and Arab fighters.
According to Saudi Press Agency, PFL MENA Championship General Manager Jerome Mazet emphasized the readiness for the inaugural launch of the championship in Jeddah. He expressed his long-standing desire to visit the city, recalling his meeting with Saudi fighter Ahmed Makki on May 10 last year, where Makki highlighted the absence of an MMA championship in Jeddah for six years. This conversation motivated Mazet to bring the event to Saudi Arabia.
Mazet commended the tournament organizers for their collaborative efforts with Jeddah Season and the National Events Center in orchestrating a high-quality event. He also acknowledged the contributions of Saudi fighters Makki and Malik Basheel and expressed appreciation for the enthusiasm of Saudi sports fans.
Saudi fighters affirmed their preparedness for the championship, stating that their training is on track and that they are committed to delivering performances that will satisfy the local audience.
