Registration Opens for Saudi Falcons Club Cup and King Abdulaziz Falconry Festival 2025

Malham: Registration has opened for participants wishing to take part in the Saudi Falcons Club Cup and the King Abdulaziz Falconry Festival 2025, two major events that aim to empower falconers, preserve and promote the Kingdom's falconry heritage, and raise public awareness of this deeply rooted cultural tradition.

According to Saudi Press Agency, the Saudi Falcons Club, headquartered in Malham, north of Riyadh, announced that the first registration phase will cover the amateur, owners, professional, and elite local categories. Registration will take place during three separate periods: the first from November 3-7, 2025, from 3:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m. at the club's headquarters; the second at Dhahran Expo in Eastern Region from November 19-21, from 12:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m.-the final opportunity for the amateur and owners categories; and the third from December 18-21, from 2:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m. at the Malham headquarters, designated for the professional and elite local categories.

Applicants or their authorized representatives must provide complete details about each falcon, including its species, photographs, original production ring, and the club's electronic ring number. If unavailable, a certificate of ownership from the National Center of Wildlife (NCW) must be presented, along with a CITES certificate in the owner's name for local participants, or a CITES certificate or falcon passport for international participants.

Additionally, participants must submit a valid health certificate confirming that the falcon is free from avian influenza, issued by an authorized veterinary center no more than 48 hours prior to the competition. Any discrepancies between the falcon's actual details and those listed on the registration form will result in disqualification.
