Religious Affairs Presidency to Hold 2nd Fatwa Symposium Tomorrow at Prophet’s Mosque

The Presidency for Religious Affairs of the Two Holy Mosques is slated to hold tomorrow the second edition of the scientific symposium “Fatwa in the Two Holy Mosques and Its Impact on Facilitating Procedures for Visitors” at the Prophet’s Mosque.

The event is held under the patronage of Governor of Madinah Region Prince Salman bin Sultan bin Abdulaziz, and will go on until Thursday.

President of the Religious Affairs of the Two Holy Mosques Sheikh Dr. Abdulrahman Al-Sudais stressed that the symposium is an extension of the efforts of the leaders of the country to serve the two holy mosques and convey their noble, moderate and righteous message derived from the Holy Quran and the Prophet Mohammed’s Sunnah to the entire world.

Al-Sudais pointed out that the symposium is bound to support transformations in the manner of issuing fatwas, making them easier and digitizing them, to meet the religious needs of those visiting the two holy mosques and assist them in performing their rituals and acts of worship.

He emphasized the Kingdom’s commitment to fatwas jurisprudence, due to their importance in keeping up with emerging and contemporary jurisprudential issues, in line with the objectives of Sharia and its significant impact on individuals and society.
