Makkah– The General Presidency of the Two Holy Mosques has provided a robot that speaks 11 languages to receive visitors at the King Abdulaziz Complex for Holy Kaaba Kiswa and acquaint them with the services provided at the complex.
The robot uses technologies that support the plans of the Saudi Vision 2030, and is a factor of attraction within the complex, as it speaks several languages throughout the day, without stopping.
The robot has the ability to recognize basic emotions, to recognize faces and to have voice interaction with visitors through touch and hand motion. It weighs around 29 kilogrammes, has a battery life of up to 8 hours, the charge time is 8 hours and its speed is 3km/h. It can be operated non-stop when connected to electricity.
