Royal Order Issued

Riyadh, The Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques King Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud issued a royal order as follows:

Based on an official report forwarded by the concerned authority, Director of Public Security Lieutenant General Khaled bin Qarar Al-Harbi has committed numerous violations and abuses aiming at embezzling public money and making personal benefits, and accordingly facing the accusation of committing a number of crimes, including forgery, bribery and abuse of influence, with the participation of 18 persons affiliated to the public and private sectors, a Royal Order was issued today for the execution of the following measures:

First: Service of Lieutenant General Khaled bin Qarar bin Ghanim Al-Harbi, Director of Public Security, is terminated by referring him to retirement and referring him to investigation.

Second: Oversight and Anti-Corruption Authority (Nazaha) is responsible for completing the necessary investigation procedures with all who are involved of this case, prior to taking the necessary legal measures against them.

Third: Competent authorities shall be notified of this order for immediate implementation.
