Riyadh: Minister of Civil Defence, Emergencies and Disaster Relief of the Russian Federation, Lieutenant General Alexander Kurenkov, arrived in Riyadh to attend the World Championship in Fire and Rescue Sport 2025, hosted by the Kingdom from October 26 to November 1, 2025. He was welcomed at King Khalid International Airport by Acting Vice Minister of Interior Prince Dr. Abdulaziz bin Mohammed bin Ayyaf.

According to Saudi Press Agency, the reception was attended by several officials, marking the significance of the event and highlighting the international cooperation in the field of civil defence and emergency response. The championship serves as a platform for showcasing skills and exchanging expertise in fire and rescue operations.
