SalamAir Launches First Flights from Muscat to Abha

Al-deer: The Saudi Tourism Authority (STA) announced the launch of SalamAir's first direct flight between Muscat city and Abha International Airport, aiming to strengthen the Kingdom's regional air connectivity and improve ease of tourist access to the Aseer Region.

According to Saudi Press Agency, representatives from the STA, the General Authority of Civil Aviation (GACA), Aseer Principality, Aseer Development Authority, and Abha International Airport received the inaugural flight on the new route.

The route launch is part of the STA's efforts, alongside its strategic partners, to enhance air connectivity to Saudi tourist destinations. This initiative supports the Kingdom's positioning as a regional and global tourism destination and contributes to the target of attracting 150 million visitors annually by 2030.

SalamAir will operate Muscat-Abha flights four times a week, offering flexible travel options and seamless connections through its expanding network via its main hub in Muscat. This move supports both direct tourism travel and transit traffic from other regional markets.
