Saudi Arabia Debuts at Triennale Milano with ‘Maghras: a Farm for Experimentation’

Milan: For the first time, Saudi Arabia has made its mark at the Triennale Milano International Exhibition, launching Tuesday a dedicated exhibition titled 'Maghras: a Farm for Experimentation' during the event's 24th edition.

According to Saudi Press Agency, the exhibition is curated by Lulu Almana and Sara Al Omran, and it highlights the transformation of Al-Ahsa Oasis, which is inscribed on the UN Educational, Scientific, and Cultural Organization (UNESCO) World Heritage List as one of the world's largest natural oases.

The term 'Maghras' comes from a traditional unit of land measurement, defined by the spacing of four palm trees. The exhibition features a combination of artwork, research findings, and programs that explore the connections between environment, culture, and memory in Al-Ahsa.
