Saudi Arabia Participates in Global Symposium for Regulators ‘GSR24’

Riyadh: The Communications, Space and Technology Commission (CST) is representing Saudi Arabia in the Global Symposium for Regulators ‘GSR24,’ which will be held from July 1 to 4 in Kampala, Uganda, according to a press release from CST.

The conference aims to enhance discussion in the ICT sector among regulators, legislators, policy developers, officials, and stakeholders. It serves as a platform for exchanging knowledge and experiences on significant regulatory issues and developments in the telecom sector and studying best regulatory practices implemented internationally.

Regulation and Competition Sector Deputy Governor at CST Eng. Omar Alrejraje, heading the Kingdom’s delegation, will hold meetings and panel discussions with heads of regulators from around the world to showcase Saudi Arabia’s leading role in global digital regulations, reflecting its political and economic value.

According to the release, the Global Symposium for Regulators (GSR) is an annual event organized by ITU’s Telecommunication
Development Bureau. It gathers national regulatory authorities’ officials from developed and developing countries, numerous specialized experts from over 70 nations, and representatives of national and international companies. The event aims to enhance knowledge exchange, share international experiences, and facilitate collaboration among relevant sectors.
