General

Dhaka, Bangladesh, The General Directorate of Passports has implemented measures to expedite the Hajj departure process for Bangladeshi pilgrims flying out of Hazrat Shahjalal International Airport.

Highly qualified, multilingual staff are deployed at the airport to assist pilgrims, and the directorate has invested in cutting-edge technology to ensure a smooth and efficient completion of departure procedures.

The streamlined approach extends far beyond Dhaka. Pilgrims now can finalize their entry procedures to the Kingdom at dedicated counters set up at their home airports, eliminating the need for additional processing upon arrival in Saudi Arabia.

The Makkah Route Initiative, launched by the Ministry of Interior, spearheads these efforts. The initiative is part of the broader ?Pilgrim Experience Program, which falls under Saudi Vision 2030, marking its sixth year of successful collaboration with relevant government agencies.
