Saudi Broadcasting Authority Highlights Archiving Role at Red Sea Film Festival

Jeddah: The Saudi Broadcasting Authority (SBA) is participating in the fifth Red Sea International Film Festival in Jeddah through its digital platform "Sayma," a leading national platform that invests in media content and enhances its local and international presence.

According to Saudi Press Agency, SBA's participation aims to highlight its role in developing the media industry by providing modern services for documenting, archiving, and converting audiovisual materials. This supports film and television content creators and enables production companies to utilize the vast national archive.

The Sayma platform is showcasing its digital capabilities, boasting the largest media archive in the Middle East, which includes more than 1.3 million audiovisual items and over 450,000 hours of digitally archived content, offering producers and researchers access to a wealth of historical, cultural, and media materials.

SBA is also providing presentations on content rights acquisition and media investment prospects, highlighting Sayma's role in supplying documented, advanced Saudi content for film projects and creative productions.
