Saudi Universities Are Testimony to the Kingdom’s Role in Achieving UN Sustainable Development Goals

Riyadh: Times Higher Education has released the University Impact Rankings for 2024, which include rankings for each one of the UN’s 17 Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) and an overall ranking on top, highlighting high-impact universities.

The Saudi universities, which endeavor to be consistent with the Kingdom’s efforts to achieve the goals of the Kingdom Vision 2030, have excelled in these rankings, with 32 of them being recognized as globally impactful in attaining the SDGs.

King Fahd University of Petroleum and Minerals and King Faisal University have secured positions within the top 100 universities worldwide in the overall ranking vis-à-vis the UN goals, demonstrating advanced performance across most of the 17 goals.

Imam Abdulrahman Bin Faisal University, King Abdullah University of Science and Technology (KAUST), and Prince Mohammad Bin Fahd University ranked between 101 and 200, while King Abdulaziz University was listed between 201 and 300.
