Saudi Weightlifting Team Achieves Success at World Championships in Peru with 7 Medals

Lima: The Saudi weightlifting team continued its impressive performance at the World Junior and Youth Weightlifting Championships in Peru, securing a total of seven silver medals and six bronze medals by the third day of the tournament. The event features 538 weightlifters representing 77 countries.

According to Saudi Press Agency, on Saturday, Saudi athletes added five more medals to their tally. Mohammed Al-Marzouq claimed a silver and a bronze in the 73 kg weight category. Ali Al-Hawar secured a bronze in the snatch and another in the total for the 67 kg category, while Abdullah Al-Muhaimid earned a bronze in the clean and jerk in the 61 kg division.

Mohammed Al-Ajyan had earlier opened Saudi Arabia's medal account with two bronze medals in the clean and jerk and the total for the 55 kg category.
