The Saudi Authority for Data and Artificial Intelligence (SDAIA) has completed setting up the technical infrastructure for the air, sea, and land ports in the Kingdom to facilitate the departure procedures for pilgrims and the reception of Umrah performers with the start of the Umrah season, in cooperation with the Ministry of Interior and other government agencies concerned with Hajj and Umrah season.
SDAIA secured the ports located in Makkah, Madinah, Eastern Province, Tabuk, Al-Jouf, the northern borders, and Najran regions with the essential and backup communications departments, in addition to supporting them with national competencies specialized in computers and the necessary technical devices and providing technical support around the clock. The authority completed the implementation of preventive maintenance of data rooms, network devices, and workstation devices, with the activation of the passenger system, which contributed to increasing the speed of data transfer.
SDAIA also installed and configured stations for capturing and recording vital signs at the Kingdom’s ports, set up the devices and mobile bags equipped with vital-signs recording devices, and provided backup systems to ensure uninterrupted work continuity.
