Riyadh: Weather forecasts indicate that parts of Saudi Arabia will experience moderate to heavy thunderstorms on Monday, potentially leading to flash floods. The National Center for Meteorology reports that these thunderstorms will be accompanied by hail and dust-stirring winds in regions including Jazan, Aseer, Al-Baha, Makkah, Riyadh, Qassim, Hail, and the Eastern parts of the country. Additionally, light rain is expected in Madinah, Tabuk, Al-Jouf, Northern Borders, and Najran. Some areas may also experience fog formation.
According to Saudi Press Agency, wind conditions over the Red Sea will vary, with northwesterly to northerly winds in the northern and central sections, and southwesterly to northwesterly winds in the southern section, at speeds ranging from 15 to 60 km/h. The sea state will range from calm to choppy, with waves between half a meter and over two and a half meters in height.
Meanwhile, in the Arabian Gulf, winds will be northeasterly to easterly, blowing at speeds of 12 to 60 km/h. Similar to the Red Sea, the sea conditions are expected to be calm to choppy, with wave heights also ranging from half a meter to over two and a half meters.
