Shaqra Pepper Festival Draws Over 50,000 Visitors

The fourth edition of the Shaqra Pepper Festival, a collaborative effort of the National Company for Agricultural Services (AgriServ) and other government agencies, has had a resounding success, attracting over 50,000 visitors since its launch on July 28.

The festival, which concludes on August 6, was filled with a range of activities and events for all ages.

Friday marked a particular highlight, with a remarkable turnout of 20,549 attendees.

The festival has garnered significant attention, including from government officials, diplomats, and representatives from various countries.

Visitors enthusiastically immersed themselves in the festival’s activities, which included sports, entertainment and preparation of culinary delights.

A dedicated sports hall featuring a variety of games and activities proved popular, as has the Ministry of Sport’s corner, which hosted competitive sports events. Live entertainment, including children’s games, theatrical performances, and folk art created a vibrant atmosphere. L
ocal food vendors also thrived, offering a diverse range of culinary options.

The festival aims to support local farmers by providing a platform where they can display and sell their produce, while also stimulating the growth of the pepper-processing industry.
