Sixth Week of Horse Racing at Taif’s King Khalid Racecourse Witnesses 27 Races

The Jockey Club of Saudi Arabia held the sixth week of racing season at King Khalid Racecourse, in Al-Hawiyah District, Taif, from August 8 to 10; it featured 27 races, thoroughbred and Arabian horses, and a total prize purse exceeding SAR2 million.

The highlight of this competitive horseracing was the 2,400-meter Jockey Club of Saudi Arabia local breed cup, where “Louqanini” narrowly secured victory over “Marmaum Qayt”. A thrilling 2,000-meter race for three-year-old horses showcased exceptional talent. Actually, all events showed the skill of both jockeys and horses, captivating spectators.

The King Khalid bin Abdulaziz Racecourse in Taif will witness two other races, under the patronage of Prince Saud bin Salman bin Abdulaziz, for two-year-old colts and fillies, with a prize of SAR300,000 for each race. Elite two-year-old horses are expected to participate in these races, vying for the top prize.
