SPA News Academy to Sponsor AI Track at Student Film Festival 2025 in Jeddah

Jeddah: The SPA Academy for News Training is set to participate in the Student Film Festival 2025, organized by King Abdulaziz University from December 2-4 at the King Faisal Conference Center. The festival will see extensive involvement from students and attendance by specialists and filmmakers from various universities, with the SPA Academy joining as a sponsor of the festival's artificial intelligence track.

According to Saudi Press Agency, the academy is showcasing the media creativity incubator track, which features a select group of university students participating in SPA's AI content production camp. The track highlights creative works where students have utilized AI technologies for scriptwriting, scene design, and visual element development, showcasing their readiness for modern content creation.

The academy will also host an interactive pavilion within an exhibition entitled 'from idea to screen,' offering visitors hands-on experience with modern visual-generation and digital-enhancement tools. This pavilion will emphasize AI's role in short-film production workflows, demonstrating how advanced tools can transform ideas into cinematic scenes.

Furthermore, the festival program includes the academy's participation in its seventh session. Academy CEO Tariq AlShaikh is slated to deliver a presentation on SPA's AI camp methodology, focusing on its role in preparing a generation capable of creating production solutions using modern technologies and enhancing their creative skills and output.
