Spring Clouds Adorn Skies of Aseer, Attracting Hikers

Riyadh: The Sarawat Highlands in Aseer Region are witnessing beautiful spring weather, drawing hikers and nature enthusiasts from both within and outside the region.



According to Saudi Press Agency, the skies are adorned with cumulus clouds, signaling the arrival of heavy seasonal rains. The clouds, illuminated by the sun’s rays, create stunning artistic scenes that have enticed hundreds of families, residents, and visitors to flock to parks and tourist sites overlooking the city of Abha and the Tihama plains.



The scenic beauty is accompanied by moderate temperatures ranging between 15 and 24 degrees Celsius. Tourism continues to be one of Aseer’s most prominent comparative advantages. The region recorded a remarkable 680% growth in spending from incoming tourism over the past two years (2023 and 2024).



Additionally, the first quarter of 2025 witnessed a quality leap in the development of tourist inns, hotels, and residential units. Aseer ranked fifth in the Kingdom in terms of commercial records in the hotel category, with 448 registrations, and 253 in the tourist inn category.
