Supreme Council for Islamic Affairs President participates in international conference

President of the Supreme Council for Islamic Affairs, Shaikh Abdulrahman bin Mohammed bin Rashid Al Khalifa, participated today in the international conference on the role of tolerance and coexistence in inspiring sustainable economic growth and investment.

Addressing the conference, the President of the Supreme Council for Islamic Affairs appreciated the dedicated and pioneering efforts of the UAE in serving the noble humanitarian issues, building bridges of communication and promoting values of brotherhood and coexistence. He voiced Bahrain’s pride in solid fraternal ties binding it with the UAE, under the leadership of His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa and His Highness Shaikh Mohammed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, the UAE President.

Shaikh Abdulrahman bin Mohammed bin Rashid Al Khalifa underlined the importance of the conference as an opportunity to exchange ideas and experiences and avail of the best governmental practices around the world regarding tolerance and coexistence.

The conference, in which 170 countries and 600 speakers participated, convened today in Abu Dhabi under the patronage of the UAE Minister of Tolerance and Coexistence Shaikh Nahyan bin Mubarak Al Nahyan. Ministers from across the globe, decision-makers and officials from the Muslim Council of Elders and other relevant parties participated in the event which is held as part of the 2023 Annual Investment Meeting (AIM) in Abu Dhabi. AIM kicked off on May 8 in Abu Dhabi under the auspices of Abu Dhabi Crown Prince and Chairman of the Abu Dhabi Executive Council, His Highness Shaikh Khalid bin Mohammed bin Zayed Al Nahyan.
