Madinah: Taibah University in Madinah has opened registration for the 2025 University Esports Championship, featuring a selection of the world’s most popular titles and running through October 18, 2025.
According to Saudi Press Agency, the championship is held under the patronage of University President Dr. Nawal bint Mohammed Alrasheed. This initiative aligns with the wise leadership’s focus following the 2022 launch of the National Gaming and Esports Strategy, which aims to build a competitive, sustainable industry and advance Saudi Vision 2030.
Through these tournaments and on-campus programs, Taibah University aims to empower students, identify esports talent, boost participation in Saudi Universities Sports Federation (SUSF) championships, and enable students to represent the university in local and international competitions. The initiative also supports youth skills development, elevates university sports, and strengthens Taibah University’s presence domestically and internationally.
