Taif: As winter arrives, Taif Governorate showcases its natural beauty, where cool mountain air meets the warmth of the valleys and chilly winds mingle with the lush greenery of the plains. Early mornings are often shrouded in fog that cloaks the towering mountains.
According to Saudi Press Agency, environmental geography researcher Mohammed Al-Masoud explained that Taif is one of the few cities offering such a rich climatic landscape in winter. Intermittent rainfall on the slopes of Al-Hada and Al-Shafa increases the flow of valleys such as Wadi Dhi Ghazal and Wadi Khamas. This seasonal rainfall allows vibrant vegetation to flourish, enhancing the area's environmental and touristic appeal.
Al-Masoud highlighted that Taif's winter weather attracts visitors, photographers, and researchers due to its dense highland fog, clean air, and natural tranquility. Exploring the mountain parks becomes particularly rewarding during this season, especially with the growing interest in cloud observation, hiking mountain trails, and documenting Taif's unique seasonal natural phenomena.
