The Minister of Culture, Ahmed Fakak Al-Badrani, warned against harming the lands of antiquities.
The Ministry’s statement stated that the Minister visited the city of Mosul yesterday, and inspected the work sites in the archaeological areas of Tel Qwenjik in the Assyrian city of Nineveh, and was briefed on the progress of work to build and restore the ancient wall of Nineveh, which completely surrounds the Assyrian city.
Al-Badrani warned, during his visit to Tell Qwenjiq, against encroaching on antiquities and their lands because they are considered taboo, just as it is not permissible to transgress antiquities on other people’s lands.
