The President accepts the credentials of the Ambassador of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia to the State of Palestine

The President of the State of Palestine, Mahmoud Abbas, accepted, this afternoon, Tuesday, the credentials of the Ambassador of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, Nayef bin Bandar Al-Sudairi, as Ambassador Extraordinary, Non-Resident Plenipotentiary to the State of Palestine, and Consul General in the city of Jerusalem.

This came during the President’s reception of the Saudi Ambassador on Tuesday, at the presidential headquarters in the city of Ramallah.

Upon his arrival at the presidential headquarters, Ambassador Al-Sudairi reviewed the guard of honor that was lined up to greet him, while the Palestinian and Saudi national anthems were played.

The President welcomed Ambassador Al-Sudairi, praising his important visit to Palestine and his appointment as Ambassador of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia to the State of Palestine.

The President said: This step will contribute to strengthening the strong fraternal relations linking the two brotherly countries and peoples.

The Saudi ambassador said after the meeting, I was honored to convey the greetings of the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques, King Salman bin Abdulaziz, and his Crown Prince, Prince Mohammed bin Salman, to President Mahmoud Abbas, and to present the credentials to Mr. President.

He added, “We also emphasized the close relationship between the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia and the State of Palestine, and God willing, this visit will be the beginning of strengthening more relations in all fields,” stressing the positions of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia under the leadership of the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques and his Crown Prince, which are steadfast and supportive of the Palestinian people and their just cause.

A ceremony accepting the accreditation of the Saudi ambassador took place, in the presence of the Minister of Foreign Affairs and Expatriates, Riyad Al-Maliki, the President’s Advisor for Diplomatic Affairs, Majdi Al-Khalidi, and the Commander of the Presidential Guard, Major General Mounir Al-Zoubi
