The Undersecretary of the Ministry of Justice discusses in Cairo with Aboul Gheit the completion of procedures for holding a meeting of the Council of Arab Ministers of Justice in Baghdad

A delegation from the Ministry of Justice, headed by the Ministry’s Senior Undersecretary, Ziad Al-Tamimi, met in Cairo today with the Secretary-General of the Arab League, Ahmed Aboul Gheit.

The Ministry stated in a statement that during the meeting, discussions were held regarding completing the procedures for holding the meeting of the Council of Arab Ministers of Justice in Baghdad, scheduled to be held on October 15-16, 2023.

Al-Tamimi, who heads the preparatory committee for the meeting, expressed to the Secretary of the Arab League that the Iraqi government and people welcomed their Arab brothers to host them in the capital, Baghdad.

Al-Tamimi conveyed the greetings and thanks of the Prime Minister and the Minister of Justice for the role of the Arab League in supporting Iraq’s hosting of the 39th session of the Council of Arab Ministers of Justice meeting.

For his part, the Secretary-General of the Arab League appreciated the role and positions of Iraq towards crucial Arab issues, praising the efforts and interest of the Ministry of Justice to prepare for the meeting scheduled to be held in Baghdad.
