Thunderstorms and Flash Floods Predicted in Several Regions

Sanaa:The National Center for Meteorology has forecasted moderate to heavy thunderstorms in parts of Jazan, Aseer, Al-Baha, Makkah, Hail, Tabuk, Al-Jouf, and Northern Borders regions. These weather conditions are expected to lead to flash floods and will be accompanied by hail and gusty, dust-stirring winds.

Accourding to Saudi Press Agency, Additionally, light to moderate rain may fall in parts of the Madinah and Eastern regions. Dense fog is likely to form during the night and early morning hours over the coastal areas in the eastern part of the Kingdom.

Wind conditions over the Red Sea will vary, with northwesterly to northerly winds at speeds of 20-40 km/h, northwesterly to westerly winds at 15-36 km/h, and northwesterly to southwesterly winds at 15-50 km/h. The sea conditions will range from calm to choppy, with waves from half a meter to over two meters.

In the Arabian Gulf, winds are expected to be northwesterly to northeasterly at speeds of 10-30 km/h, and northeasterly to northwesterly at 10-50 km/h. The sea will also be calm to choppy, with waves reaching up to over two meters.
