Riyadh: Weather conditions across several regions in Saudi Arabia are expected to experience significant changes on Friday.
According to Saudi Press Agency, the National Center for Meteorology has forecasted the presence of thunderclouds accompanied by rainfall, hail, and active dust-raising winds affecting parts of Al-Baha, Makkah, Madinah, Hail, Qassim, and Riyadh regions. These weather patterns are expected to extend to the northern parts of the Eastern Region.
Rain-bearing thunderclouds and fog are also predicted to form over parts of Jazan and Aseer regions, in addition to parts of the Northern Borders and Al-Jouf regions. The meteorological conditions indicate a potential impact on visibility and travel across these areas.
The Red Sea will experience northwesterly to northerly winds in the northern and central parts, shifting to southeasterly to southwesterly in the southern part, with speeds ranging between 20-40 km/h. Wave heights are expected to range from one meter to two meters, potentially exceeding two meters during thundercloud activity, resulting in a slight to moderate sea state.
In the Arabian Gulf, wind patterns will be northwesterly to northeasterly at speeds of 15-30 km/h. Waves are anticipated to range from half a meter to one and a half meters, potentially reaching up to two meters, maintaining a slight to moderate sea state.
