Jeddah: Thunderstorms accompanied by hail and dust-stirring winds are expected to affect various regions in Saudi Arabia on Thursday. The National Center for Meteorology has forecasted these weather conditions for Jazan, Aseer, Al-Baha, Makkah, Madinah, Hail, Riyadh, and Qassim regions.
According to Saudi Press Agency, winds over the Red Sea are expected to be northwesterly to westerly at speeds of 15-45 km/h. The waves in this area may range from half a meter to one and a half meters, indicating relatively calm sea conditions.
In contrast, the Arabian Gulf is expected to experience more turbulent conditions. Winds in the northern part will be northwesterly to westerly at speeds of 15-38 km/h, while the central and southern parts will see stronger winds at speeds of 30-50 km/h. Waves in these areas may range from a meter to two and a half meters, resulting in choppy sea conditions.
