The Director of the General Company for Railways, Younis Jawad Al-Kaabi, discussed with the Governor of Anbar, Ali Farhan, and the two Deputy Administrative and Technical Governors, railway projects.
Al-Kaabi said, according to a statement by the Ministry of Transport: “Based on the directives of the Minister of Transport, Razzaq Muhibis Al-Saadawi: We discussed with the officials of Anbar Governorate all the points of intersection with the path of the railway line of the development road by the governorate’s Directorates and with coordinates with alternative proposals that do not affect the development road and in a manner that serves the province and within the technical specifications for the functioning of modern electric trains.
The Director General indicated: “The governorate described the line’s path to the development road as well-studied and meets the requirements of Anbar Governorate. The mechanism of cooperation was also discussed to raise and stop transgressions on the property and taboos of railway lines and stations, and to discuss the gradual re-running of trains, starting from the International Station to Fallujah and preparing it to reach Ramadi.”
He added: “We discussed the importance of including the reconstruction of stations and railway lines in the budget and priorities of the province, and work on building three train stations as well as developing railway departments in Anbar.”/ End
