Turning Off Iranian Power Lines Caused A Decrease In Hours Of Supplying Electricity To The Cities Of Diyala

General

A local source attributed the reasons for the decline in electricity supply hours for citizens in Diyala to turning off the main power lines coming from Iran.

The source told the correspondent of the National Iraqi News Agency (NINA) that the supply of electricity to the cities of Diyala has declined due to the Iranian side turning off the Mirsad-Diyala lines 400 KV and Sarpil Zahab 132 KV. This led to an unprecedented rise in outages, reaching more than 15 hours per day.

It is noteworthy that the Iranian side reduced the pumping of Iranian gas to the central governorates last week, which caused a sharp decline in providing citizens with electric power.
