Makkah: The Department of Volunteer Work and Social Responsibility at Umm Al-Qura University, in collaboration with Aloun Charitable Society, started an initiative yesterday to distribute cold water bottles to pilgrims, as well as copies of the Quran, and sun umbrellas during the Hajj season 1445 AH.
The initiative is the university’s way of exercising its social responsibility, in this case by serving pilgrims through its volunteer program and initiatives designed to promote the culture of volunteerism and give opportunities to young people wishing to volunteer to use their skills and experience to assist pilgrims in performing their rituals.
