Visitors Experience Ugandan Culture and Folk Arts at ‘Global Harmony 2’ in Riyadh

Riyadh: The Ugandan Culture events, a key component of the 'Global Harmony 2' initiative, commenced on Tuesday, captivating audiences at Al-Suwaidi Park during Riyadh Season. Organized by the Ministry of Media in collaboration with the General Entertainment Authority (GEA), the event is drawing visitors from an array of nationalities.

According to Saudi Press Agency, the two-day cultural showcase is part of the Quality of Life Program initiatives, which align with the Saudi Vision 2030 objectives. The program aims to engage residents and highlight the diverse cultures and activities present in the Kingdom.

On the opening day, attendees delved into various facets of Ugandan culture and arts through musical performances and traditional shows, featuring Ugandan artists and influencers. Folk groups from different regions of Uganda presented traditional songs and chants, offering a glimpse into the country's rich cultural tapestry. Pavilions displayed traditional clothing, handicrafts, and local cuisine, emphasizing the vibrancy of Ugandan heritage.

Ugandan residents expressed their pride in having their culture spotlighted in Riyadh, underscoring the city's emergence as a global cultural hub amid the Kingdom's development. They noted that the event is a valuable platform to share their heritage and bolster the presence of Ugandan culture among diverse nationalities.

The festivities will continue on Wednesday, featuring musical performances, traditional shows, and entertainment activities that celebrate folk heritage and performing arts, along with a variety of interactive segments.
