Makkah: Scouts volunteering to serve pilgrims during the Hajj season are compelled by religious motivation, patriotic feeling, and humanism. They work under the umbrella of the Saudi Arabian Boy Scouts Association (SABSA), and project a bright and honorable image of the charitable work the Kingdom does to server pilgrims coming from all parts of the world.

Scout leaders offering public service in camps in Makkah, Madinah, and other holy sites said they were proud and honored to assist pilgrims, in coordination with government agencies.

Scout Fayez Al-Rasheed, who has been working with pilgrims, stressed that he and his colleagues spare no effort to serve them, and highlighted the facilities and ease of procedures, as requested by the wise leadership, that enable pilgrims to perform religious rituals with peace of mind and reassurance.

Scout Ghanem Al-Ghanem praised the human and material capabilities harnessed by the state to serve pilgrims, reaffirming the scouts’ determination to help pilgrims.

Ahmed Al
-Qahtani, another scout, also said that scouts devote their time and effort to help pilgrims, while scout Khaled Al-Bahr stressed that scouts are committed to honoring the trust placed in them, and contributing to improving the level and quality of service provided to pilgrims.

‘Being selected to serve pilgrims is a great honor that every Saudi is proud of,’ said scout Tayea Al-Dossari.

Meanwhile, scout Fahd Al-Juhani said that he and his team participate every year in volunteering work during Hajj, considering it an honor to seek to secure the comfort of pilgrims.

Serving pilgrims ‘is like an award for every volunteer and a great responsibility which motivates them to give their best in the service of pilgrims’, said scout Faleh Al-Mutairi.
