Turaif: Residents of Turaif Governorate are ramping up their preparations for winter as temperatures drop, leading to increased demand for heating solutions and winter clothing. Key in-demand items include electric and kerosene heaters, woolen fabrics, blankets, warm clothing, and the traditional wool farwah (fur-lined overcoat), which is particularly sought after.
According to Saudi Press Agency, as winter begins, temperatures gradually decline, making Turaif one of the coldest regions in the Kingdom, with recorded lows reaching zero degrees Celsius and occasionally falling below. This significant drop in temperature is attributed to the area's elevation of over 800 meters above sea level, its northern geographical location, and exposure to cold air masses from low-pressure fronts in the eastern Mediterranean and Levant.
