Zakaty E-Service Facilitates Transfers of Over SAR 664 Million Since Inception

Riyadh: The Zakat, Tax, and Customs Authority (ZATCA) reported that the zakat funds transferred through the Zakaty e-service have surpassed a total of 664 million Saudi riyals.

The Zakaty service enables direct transfers of zakat to all categories of social insurance beneficiaries registered with the Ministry of Human Resources and Social Development.

Individuals can conveniently calculate their zakat using the Zakaty mobile application or website and make secure payments through various trusted methods, including SADAD, Apple Pay, and Mada.

ZATCA emphasized that these reliable and efficient payment options, among others, ensure the swift and flexible transfer of zakat funds to eligible recipients.

The service also allows zakat payers to select specific categories of social insurance beneficiaries to support, including families in need of housing, families of divorced women, and families of prisoners.

Furthermore, ZATCA highlighted that the Zakaty service is closely supervised by zakat jurisprudence and
calculation experts.

Zakaty empowers individuals to calculate zakat for various types of assets, including money, gold, silver, stocks, investment funds, and real estate acquired for business purposes.

The service also features a helpful reminder for zakat due dates and a specialized tool to calculate zakat on gold based on its purity level, utilizing real-time global gold and silver prices that are updated daily.
