Riyadh: The Saudi Competitiveness and Business Center's (SCBC) unified electronic Public Consultation Platform, Istitlaa, has put forward 28 projects related to economic and development affairs, in cooperation with 20 government entities. The platform enables stakeholders to share their feedback and proposals on the projects before their approval.
According to Saudi Press Agency, projects presented on the Istitlaa platform include the Ministry of Justice's project titled 'Implementing Regulations of the Enforcement Law.' The project aims to enhance the efficiency of enforcement procedures and contract enforcement, strengthen preventive justice and the effectiveness of enforceable contracts, expedite the delivery of rights to their holders, while safeguarding the fundamental rights of persons subject to enforcement and the interests of society, as well as keeping pace with digital transformation and developing financial and non-financial enforcement procedures. Public feedback on the project is open until September 29, 2026.
The Transport General Authority has also launched the project 'Amending the Executive Regulations for the Activity of Passenger Transport Mediation via Electronic Apps.' The project aims to introduce a number of amendments to the provisions of the regulations to enable passenger transport services using autonomous vehicles through passenger transport mediation activities via electronic applications. Public feedback on the project is open until October 1, 2026.
Another project currently open for public consultation is the Ministry of Municipalities and Housing's project titled 'Municipal Requirements for Organizing Scrap Sites.' The project aims to regulate scrap sites and raise compliance levels by defining the municipal requirements and conditions necessary for carrying out activities within these sites, contributing to improving the urban landscape, strengthening safety requirements, and reducing unregulated practices and their associated negative impacts. Public feedback on the project is open until October 1, 2026.
The introduction of draft laws, regulations, and similar projects through the Istitlaa platform reflects the Kingdom's continued commitment to enhancing transparency in the legislative environment, promoting a culture of public consultation among the general public, government entities, and the private sector, and engaging them in shaping projects related to the business environment.
