Riyadh: The Saudi Competitiveness and Business Center's (SCBC) Public Consultation Platform, Istitlaa, has put forward 58 projects related to economic and development affairs. In cooperation with 19 government agencies, SCBC invites the general public, government agencies, and the private sector to share their feedback on projects before their approval.
According to Saudi Press Agency, key projects presented on the platform include a project titled "Guidelines for the Regulation of the Responsibilities and Duties of Safety, Prevention, and Fire Protection Officers in Government and Private Entities," launched by the General Directorate of Civil Defense. The project aims to improve safety in facilities by defining the Safety Officer's responsibilities and ensuring the effective implementation of prevention, fire protection, and emergency response measures. The public can provide feedback on this project through the Istitlaa platform until August 5, 2026.
The National Cybersecurity Authority has launched a public consultation project titled "AI Cybersecurity Guidelines," which aims to support national cybersecurity objectives by addressing common cybersecurity risks unique to AI systems. Public feedback on the project will be accepted until August 5, 2026.
The Saudi Data and Artificial Intelligence Authority (SDAIA) has put forward a key project on the Istitlaa platform titled "Guidelines for Issuing Accreditation Certificates for Data Controllers and Data Processors." This project aims to establish a clear, consistent, and reliable regulatory framework governing the issuance of accreditation certificates and the performance of related inspection and auditing activities under the Personal Data Protection Law. The public consultation for the project ends on August 6, 2026.
The Ministry of Tourism is seeking public feedback on a project titled "License and Classification Standards of Hajj Season Hostels."
