Makkah Route Initiative Serves Eldery Pilgrims in Côte d’Ivoire with Dedicated Lanes

Abidjan, With a focus on facilitating the travel procedures of the Hajj journey, the Makkah Route Initiative continues offering exceptional services to pilgrims at several departure airports.

One such effort is being carried out at the International Félix Houphouët-Boigny d’Abidjan Airport in Côte d’Ivoire, where the initiative has extended its assistance to pilgrims, with special care for elderly and disabled pilgrims.

At the airport, elderly Hajj pilgrims expressed their gratitude for the prompt and efficient services provided to them, which have facilitated their procedures through dedicated lanes.

The pilgrims commended the Saudi government for the facilities made available to them through the initiative, which is implemented by the Ministry of Interior. These include electric carts and dedicated lanes specifically designed for wheelchair users.

They praised the efforts made by the initiative’s members to streamline their procedures for Hajj and alleviate their travel burdens.
