Jazan: The National Center for the Prevention and Control of Plants Pests and Animal Diseases (Weqaa) is participating in the 21st edition of the Mango and Tropical Fruits Festival, organized by the Jazan branch of the Ministry of Environment, Water and Agriculture at the Sabya waterfront.
According to Saudi Press Agency, the festival, which will run for seven days, features the participation of 60 farmers and several governmental and non-profit entities from the region.
Weqaa's participation aims to raise awareness among farmers and introduce modern methods for detecting and combating plant pests, with the goal of achieving excellence in protecting plants and animals from diseases, thereby contributing to food security and the growth of the agricultural sector.
The Weqaa pavilion showcases the center's activities and services, distributing brochures and informational leaflets to visitors to introduce the center and its offerings.
