Riyadh: Under the patronage of Minister of Education Yousef Al-Benyan, the National Initiative to Discover Passion and Unleash Potential in Science, Technology, Engineering, Art, and Math (STEAM) 2025-2030 was launched at the King Salman Science Oasis in Riyadh today.

According to Saudi Press Agency, the launch ceremony featured the signing of several memoranda of understanding (MoUs) between the King Salman Science Oasis and several government and private entities participating as strategic partners in the initiative. Sponsors of the initiative were also honored in recognition of their effective contributions.

The initiative, a collaboration between the Ministry of Education and the King Salman Science Oasis, seeks to promote scientific culture across the Kingdom and align with the strategic goals of the national education and culture systems. It aims to enhance learning outcomes in science, technology, engineering, and mathematics (STEM) fields, fostering deeper understanding and practical application through interactive experiences, innovative exhibits, workshops, and dialogue sessions. The initiative follows the principle of ‘learning through entertainment,’ in line with the objectives of the Human Capability Development Program and Saudi Vision 2030.

In its first phase, the initiative will implement 11 science festivals during the current academic year across various regions of the Kingdom. These festivals aim to provide an engaging educational experience for all segments of society, nurture passion for science and technology, and develop knowledge, values, and skills. The initiative will also work to build sustainable partnerships with the private and non-profit sectors to strengthen the ecosystem of innovation and creativity.
