A member of Parliament for Kirkuk Governorate, Sahira Abdullah Al-Jubouri, rejected the decision to hand over the advanced headquarters of joint operations in Kirkuk to the Kurdistan Democratic Party.
She said in a statement: “For some time, we have been hearing cheers from the Kurdish party (KDP) regarding the headquarters of Kirkuk operations, which is owned by the Ministry of Oil. Today, with all boldness, we find the KDP’s Asayish forces carrying a letter to the commander of Kirkuk operations to evacuate the operations headquarters,” indicating: “This matter, if achieved, heralds a civil war in Kirkuk, and we will not allow tampering with the results of the law enforcement operation in Kirkuk.”
She called on the Prime Minister to intervene immediately to end this file./ End
