King Faisal Specialist Hospital and Research Center (KFSHRC) has been playing a central role in demonstrating Saudi Arabia’s advancements in medical technology. Its achievements include the world’s first heart transplant performed entirely with robotic technology, developing cutting-edge CAR-T cell therapy, utilizing virtual reality for immersive medical education, and advancing organ transplantation and pharmacogenetic analysis.
The hospital also launched the region’s first specialized mobile stroke unit, equipped with advanced technologies for rapid diagnosis and treatment.
KFSHRC ranked first in the Middle East and Africa and 20th globally on the list of the world’s top 250 Academic Medical Centers for the second consecutive year, due to its gl
obal impact. It is also recognized as the most valuable healthcare brand in the Kingdom and the Middle East, according to the 2024 Brand Finance rankings. Moreover, also this year, it was ranked among the world’s best 250 hospitals by Newsweek magazine.
The Ministry of Interior’s pavilion at the exhibition showcases AI-powered medical services, including mobile clinics for stroke patients and future plans for medical cities. It also introduces the Lucid electric security vehicle, a step toward improving traffic safety and attaining environmental sustainability.
The Health Sector Transformation Program endeavors to digitalize healthcare and improve the quality of services. Initiatives focus on increasing accessibility to health care, raising awareness about factors that threaten health, and aligning with Saudi Vision 2030.
