Al-Khobar: Bayfront, located along the corniche of Al-Khobar, has been awarded international certification as Saudi Arabia's first beach to meet the globally recognized Blue Flag standards for environmental management, safety, and service quality. This achievement marks a significant milestone for the Kingdom.

According to Saudi Press Agency, the beach is part of an investment project considered one of the flagship initiatives of the Eastern Region Municipality, developed in partnership with the private sector. The initiative aims to enhance quality of life and improve waterfront areas by providing visitors with diverse recreational and tourism experiences.

Mayor of the Eastern Region Municipality Fahad Aljubair stated that the Bayfront project reflects the support of the Saudi leadership and the commitment of the Ministry of Municipalities and Housing. He highlighted the project's role in promoting tourism and supporting the local economy, in line with the municipality's strategy for sustainable and comprehensive development.

Spanning more than 100,000 square meters, the Bayfront project features a range of recreational and tourism facilities, public squares, a sports promenade, modern restaurants and caf©s, and designated areas for beach activities. The project also incorporates environmentally friendly infrastructure.
