GACA Reports Passenger and Flight Growth in First Half of 2025

Riyadh: The General Authority of Civil Aviation (GACA) reported growth in passenger and flight numbers during the first half of 2025, as passenger numbers increased by 7% to over 66 million from 62 million in the same period of 2024, while flights also rose by 4% to approximately 463,800.

According to Saudi Press Agency, while passenger and flight numbers rose, air cargo volume decreased by 4% to 575,000 tons. However, the number of destinations grew by eight to 140.

The figures were presented at the 17th meeting of the steering committee for activating the aviation program, chaired by GACA President Abdulaziz Al-Duailej, who called for intensified efforts to improve the sector's overall performance and enhance its competitive value, praising employees for their work in light of ongoing challenges.
