Mecca: The Presidency of Religious Affairs at the Grand Mosque and the Prophet's Mosque has unveiled a series of initiatives designed to enrich the experience of pilgrims during the Hajj season 1446 AH, with a particular focus on the Grand Mosque library. Recognized as one of the most significant libraries in the Islamic world, it houses an extensive collection of religious texts, rare manuscripts, and resources in multiple languages spanning various fields of knowledge.
According to Saudi Press Agency, Sheikh Dr. Abdurrahman Al-Sudais, the President of Religious Affairs at the Grand Mosque and the Prophet's Mosque, highlighted that the library functions as a cultural and educational hub for disseminating religious knowledge, promoting Islamic culture, and fostering a global atmosphere of moderate thought. The library stands as a valuable asset for students and visitors to the two holy mosques.
"The presidency is committed to enhancing the scientific and intellectual mission of the library during the Hajj season and sharing it with the world," stated Sheikh Dr. Al-Sudais.
The presidency has initiated efforts to expand the library's impact across scientific, intellectual, cultural, and civilizational arenas for the 1446 AH Hajj season.
