HRH Crown Prince Chairs Cabinet Session in Jeddah

Jeddah: His Royal Highness Prince Mohammed bin Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud, Crown Prince and Prime Minister, chaired the Cabinet session held today in Jeddah. At the outset, the Cabinet reviewed the plans prepared for the 1446 AH Hajj season, emphasizing efficiency, quality, and coordination among relevant authorities to ensure the comfort and safety of pilgrims. These efforts are supported by the Kingdom's development projects and infrastructure, enhancing service and facilitating Hajj rituals for pilgrims worldwide.

According to Saudi Press Agency, the Cabinet expressed the pride of the Kingdom in serving the Two Holy Mosques and receiving millions of pilgrims, reflecting its pioneering Islamic role and longstanding commitment since its unification by the late King Abdulaziz bin Abdulrahman Al Saud. The Cabinet prayed for the safe completion of pilgrims' rituals.

Minister of Media Salman Al-Dossary stated that the Cabinet reviewed talks between the Kingdom and various countries to strengthen cooperation on regional and international issues. The Cabinet discussed the Kingdom's participation in recent summits with the Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC), the Association of Southeast Asian Nations (ASEAN), and China, reaffirming support for international initiatives promoting sustainable development and regional stability.

Additionally, the Cabinet welcomed a new oil discovery in the neutral zone between Saudi Arabia and Kuwait, enhancing cooperation in the energy sector. The Cabinet also reiterated the Kingdom's support for the Palestinian cause, calling for an end to the war on the Gaza Strip and facilitating humanitarian aid.

The Cabinet praised the launch of the Islamic Military Counter Terrorism Coalition's regional program for Sahel countries, strengthening cooperation in combating terrorism. Domestically, it lauded initiatives under the Health Transformation Program, aligning with Vision 2030 objectives.

The Cabinet acknowledged the Kingdom's achievements and global rankings, including its second-place position among G20 countries in the UN International Telecommunication Union's 2024 ICT Regulatory Tracker. It affirmed the Kingdom's commitment to sustainable development through economic diversification, investment stimulation, and job creation.

The Cabinet addressed other items on its agenda, issuing several decisions, including establishing diplomatic relations with the Republic of the Marshall Islands, signing agreements with China, Tunisia, Russia, Benin, and Kosovo, and cooperation with Iraq and Italy.
